Welcome to the Staunton Unit School Library where students can explore and enjoy the resources available. The Library provides a quiet atmosphere for students to use before, during, and after school. The library is shared between the elementary school, junior high school, and the high school.
The library has an online catalog called Athena which contains all our books, DVDs, and other media. This catalog can be accessed on any computer connected to our school's server.
Staunton High School is a member of the Illinois Heartland Library System and therefore has access to the SHARE database of all member libraries -- millions of titles. Books and other media requested from other libraries are delivered to our library through the Staunton Public Library.
Our school library currently have over 18,000 volumes, over 700 DVDs and videos, electronic databases via the Internet, and a variety of newspapers and magazines. The library provides a place for recreational reading, research and study. The library staff is available to assist you with research or to answer any questions.
